Hi there!

I am new to this site - this is my first post  . I live in Western Australia and am very interested in moving towards self-sufficiency. I will post in the introducion section, in the mean time I bought some books online today and thought I'd see if anyone has read them:

The Seed Savers' Handbook by Michel and Jude Fanton

The Big Book of Preserving the Harvest : 150 Recipes for Freezing, Canning, Drying, and Pickling Fruits and Vegetables by Carol W. Costenbader

The Solar Food Dryer : How to Make and Use Your Own Low-Cost, High Performance, Sun-Powered Food Dehydrator by Eben Fodor

The only problem about ordering books online is waiting for them to arrive

Hi Thisbe, last year I built the solar dryer from the plans in the book and beleive me it works great, so go for it, you will find that your stock cupboard will soon be full. Wellcome to the site, and you will find them a great lot here.
