ALLOTMENT JOY!

Having just popped to the allotment to get some netting that we'd left there (after three weeks the chickens have finally found the parsnips in the garden - we were just impressed that they were so stupid it took them that long!) and I bumped into one of the association members who showed me our new (nearly) full size plot
we offically get it in 4 weeks when the previous users move away.
We've been on the waiting list for 5 months, with the boys having a kids plot which along with our garden has kept us in most the veg we needed this summer, but to actually be able to plant more than 1 row of things will be great.
Also has the advantage that it is right next to him, so when I have a disaster with something he is there ready to ask for advice, he has also let us have it for 3 months free as the previous users have left it covered in weeds
The only shame is that it isn't full sized, the only thing we're going to have to miss off is the shed and the plans for re-homing battery hens, but we'll put our name down for more space if we find we need it after this year.
