Cardboard furniture - free patterns

I found this website with free patterns for making a child's chair or stool from cardboard:

http://www.foldschool.com/

I just became interested in cardboard furniture. We found a new apartment this week and it's already furnished. To our surprise when the current tenant showed us round, it had a cardboard double bed! He even jumped up and down on it, to show us how stable it was. He has had it two years (and maybe it's been in the flat longer than that!) and it's still fine.

Here's an example of one you can buy http://www.it-happens.ch/eng/bett_1.html. This isn't the same design as ours and seems to be quite expensive! I'm sure someone must do these things cheaply... Maybe I'll ask the landlady where she got it from.

Has anyone else had any experience with cardboard furniture? It seems to be a good idea - easily recyclable! And I guess you could use old cardboard boxes to make the chair or stool above. I don't have any children, but if anyone tries these patterns I'd love to know how they turn out!

Great bed, but wildly expensive!
