Can I use honey jars for chutney? I've got boxes of them from when my dad kept bees.

If they have plastic lids like the ones I get, then yes.

Any jar that has a plastic lid is fine, ones with metal lids are not as the vinegar 'eats' the steel.
Also as the vinegar preserves the chutney you could even use cling film as a last resort, just to stop it drying out.
Or .... if you only have metal lids, you could cover the top of the pot in cling film and then put the lid on.
Anything to stop the vinegar fumes contacting the metal.
