Yesterday afternoon, I said to JohnM that he should join in... 'pick a page' says I
'296' says he....
Well he started cycling to Carslise last night and boarded the first train to Bristol this morning... I expect him home around the 8th of May

Maybe he just wanted a good excuse for a holiday!

I can't stand the suspense any longer. I won't be travelling anywhere near the library or any bookstore until the end of next month. Someone PLEASE tell me what's on page 55 so I can make a start and not miss out on anything. Take Pity!!!

BTW - please can I be excused growing radishes on condition I do beans and spinach actually follow through on the potatoes (yeurgh, I'll have to clean the maggots out of the bin)? I really don't like radishes and I have limited space. Please?

Is it too late to join this game. I've just ordered my copy off of Amazon for a bargin price.
Is there any thing rude on page 69, not that there would be. I'll pick that number not for any specific reason

LOL - depends on your definition of rude!
Headings are - Sanitary Products; Toilet Cleaners & Air Fresheners (nice instructions for making your own pot pourri).

We have enjoyed lots of peas from the lottie, and potatoes from bags in the garden, and I lifted some from the lottie yesterday. Still haven't started the parsnips yet, but I will so my page is almost done! Do I have to do another page once I have completed??

I have had the world's yummiest new potatoes and planted some spinach seeds as part of my big plan for a winter greens-fest. Beans are thriving (i.e. taking over) but not eaten any yet. I think I might have planted French beans by accident, but close enough...

Well I grew the cucumbers (they were not the type they said on the packet so I was a bit miffed).
Fennel grows wild absolutely everywhere round here so you could say I grew it.
LOL!
Jerusalem Artichokes are grown locally by all the farmers and as a result are very very cheap (can't justify growing them in the limited space I have). In fact - if anyone buys Artichokes from the supermarket - chances are they will have come from here.
French Beans I will have a go at sowing later as I believe they like a cooler temperature than what we have happening.
I might have to wait to sow them at the end of September actually, it's that darn hot.

just enjoyed another day of meals based around potatoes & peas/beans. No parsnips yet, but I did spot what could be two rogue ones where some lambs lettuce was supposed to be...

...... well I have foraged for all sorts of new wild foods and made them into yummy stuff - elderberries, sloes, rosehips, wild garlic etc .... and lots of lovely neighbours let me have their wildfall apples for our pigs - not exactly scrumping but it did feel like it at times
