Busy digging over and trying to work out what/where more permanent things might go on the allotment.
Wondering about how much space to clear for the apple trees that I've ordered.
Planted out some onion sets, now to clear enough space for garlic and the broad beans.

All that and shifting manure up to the plot from the load that was brought in recently. Not much left of the pile after a reasonable weekend weather wise brought lots of people out to dig things over.

Well here's my update...

It's spring here in New Zealand, well it's supposed to be, but they're predicting snow to 200m for thursday, dam!

I've been planting out early crops , preparing beds for the corn to go in once frost done, building some wind breaks planting fruit trees and shrubs. Also been busy growing seedlings for sale, have large numbers of lettuces (lots of varieties, silverbeet, beetroot Beans French, french burgandy and butter as well as rosemary, sweet basil and thyme, summer cabbages, corn. but the hard work is in the garden, but joy o joy the silver beet is supplying us reguarly, tonight it was cooked up with our own eggs chives and some seasonings into a nice crustless quiche for dinner served with home kill sausages bartered from a friends farm in exchange for seedlings for their patch.

cheers HG
