When we came over initially and on our two trips back to the UK we've used the Transmanche ferry from Dieppe to Newhaven. REALLY good value!

Car, 2 adults , 3 kids Dover-Dunkirk £38 return......bargain.

Ah Dunkirk brings back memories. We were there some years ago on a camp site and found ourselves in the middle of a gun fight.

Don't know who they were after but the site was awash with police with firearms. We made sure we locked the doors and drew the curtains but couldn't resist a peep. After quite a number of shots, shouting and general mahem they captured a guy in a caravan at the back of us.

Haven't been back since but at those prices here we come :lol: :lol: :lol:
