I don't know how much wet they like, but everything here needs more water than it gets, I have now started growing a crop of various types of prickly pear as it is the one of the few edible plants that appear to like it here (and yes they survive outside in winter)

I just made some plum and elderberry jam. Plum jam can be a bit boring and the berries are supposed to liven it up a bit.
