I am marginally odd when it comes to music. I go through phases, this week I am mostly listening to:

Coolfin, Deaf Shepherd, Michael Marra, Ceolbeg, Altan, but the one band which I have listened to for about 15 years is Jethro Tull

Am trying to find an eco(nomical) way to get my hands on some Lunasa, an Irish band of the traditional variety.....

I'm a bit the same - I go through phases too. (Haven't listened to Altan for AGES - might have to dig that one out)

Old blind dogs are good, but I'm currently reliving my youth and watching Pete Shelley, The Buzzcocks, Adam & The Ants etc on You Tube. Can't get Homosapian out of my head, LOVE that song.

Just looked on Napster - Lunasa tracks on there by the score.

You lot really are a good source of musical inspiration!!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

I used to hate the interview "What is your worst regret" It's easy to answer now - not keeping up with playing music (I learned the flute at school, and bumbled my way through the piano, drums, melodian, mandolin, jews harp, tea chest.....:headbang:).

Whilst we are unlikely to have any offspring (Stephen does not have the wherewithall to carry them hehe) I would encourage any bairns to keep up with music - it's a skill/hobby you can enjoy anywhere!

Here's another that I admire!

Neil Diamond (especially his live recordings), Pink Floyd, Whitesnake, Beatles, Katie Melua, Annie Lennox, The Wurzels (great when supping home brew cider), David Bowie, Genesis and a very wide list that goes on and on ...
Everything is obvious once you know :O)

at the moment -
Bob Dylan's "Modern Times", Bob Marley "Legend" (and other Marley cds), and an awful lot of fairly obscure dub/reggae tracks - Toots Maytal, Peter Tosh, The Upsetters, Zion Train, Renegade Soundwave - at present going through my cds to find "happy sunshine music" to play at the festivals!
