Blimey! I agree, 20 is too many! The CPL will often give vouchers to HELP pay for neutering. They neuter farm cats for free around here. I would suggest taking stray cats to them direct, not through your vet, although we wouldn't make you feel bad, nor ask for a donation!

As to your problem, try a high fence bent over at the top! Our dogs and cats get on fine (4 dogs, 3 cats) - they fight for the spot in front of the fire in winter and are scattered in the conservatory in summer!!
