Congratulations on little QB.

And I concur with everything said above. You don't need most of the things they'll try and push on you. I remember when my gal was tiny (3 months-ish :dontknow: ) I asked a friend if she wanted to go out for the day. It ended up not happening because she couldn't get on a bus with all the paraphernalia she couldn't possibly leave the house without - buggy, changing mat, bottles, wipes, creams, changes of clothes, extra warm things, cool things and god knows what else. It was like a military exercise.

I had a babygro, three disposable nappies (just for going out),cotton wool, sudocreme, a sling and a coat big enough to go round both of us if it got colder. Apart from the gal, sling and coat, everything fitted in a carrier bag in my handbag. We went all over the place and had great fun. Needless to say my pal didn't and was not a better person for being housebound I can tell you

I do admit to having a Mum-size handbag, you'll find out soon enough what one of those is. After nappies it holds lego etc. You'll need one damn-near til they leave home

All the best Helen, I hope all goes smoothly. And try the Entonox it's great :drunken:
