Its all going away now.
Had a nice bout of food poisoning yesterday though, but that should be it for now!
Taught my first classes today - Thanks George for the tips! They were quite successful, the students laughed at my pathetic attempt to speak chinese...
Went shopping tonight and bought a kettle, so i came straight home and made British Tea for me and Phoenix (one of the chinese facilitators). She liked it, and i was in heaven!
The cockroaches are coming in from the toilet - we have a western toilet badly cemented on top of a hole in the floor toilet...its not that pleasant, and it rocks when you sit on it. I think I'd have rathered them just leave the hole in the floor! I have been throwing bleach down it regularly to try to discourage the cockroaches, and there's one behind the toilet at the moment that definitely looked like it was dying last night. The problem is that we have no light in our bathroom at the moment - the bulb went - so we're waiting to get that fixed...and the microwave...and the gas stove...

Oh rather you than me Fee! What an adventure you are having. What are you teaching? English I suppose? Did you need to go on a course to learn to teach it or what? I'm a bit confused as I know you aren't a teacher!

Re: China!
After reading through this thread late last night I had a very strange dream that I was in a flat and there were loads of cockroaches!!
I was going round spraying them and there was one massive one the size of a dag that looked like a stag beetle!! Very scary!
Edit: Oops that should be Dog!!

Re: China!
hahahaha...thankfully, they're not that big!
I did go out for dinner tongiht, and i went to the loo in the restaurant, and there...in a crack in the wall was a cockroach staring at me.
They tried to get us to play drinking games too. They revolve around a rock, paper, scissors concept. I wasn't playing...not a big drinker!
