I missed the thoughts on the secret santa bit....

Actually it can be anonymous. we did something similar on our boards recently... called it the Post Fairy!

It was anonymous because all the addresses are sent to the coordinator who passes out the address of the fairee (recipient) to the fairy (sender) - it was left up to the person sending to choose what to send but we did suggest that only a little gift was in order (i received a little book and a couple of bars of chocolate - and I sent a cd of nursery rhymes and a card with poetry to my fairee - bear in mind that this was on a mums' club board)

We might go ahead with a prize giving contest this year, aswell. We are a bit more organised this year than last, as we still need to get the first prize out to last year winner.

This year we are contacting organisations asking them to give us prizes in exchange for a link to their site, lets see what comes of it. We so far have the small holders handbook from the publisher.

But as for the secret father christmas idea, there is no reason not to do both. One open to forum members who see the thread and the other to every other visitor.
