official self sufficientish cartoonist and new look Trish

Post: # 839Post Andy Hamilton »

Over the weekend a fella called Spencer Hill contaced me with regards to the self sufficient Trish Cartoon strip. He offered to draw a new one and after some short discussion he is now the site cartoonist. A few bits of his artwork are already on the site and expect to see more over the comming months.

here are a couple of examples

I am very pleased and I think you will agree that he is a lot better than I am

The Cartoons

Post: # 847Post Tracey Smith »

Dear Andy,

Your idea to have cartoon was a brilliant one and I thought the sketches were basic, but quite endearing!

But a splash of colour and a fuller figure will make it a bookmarkable point and folks will look forward to coming back to see what she's up to.

I look forward to seeing more.

Yep ever so slightly better 8) it was a good idea of mine eh Tracey
I think if Spencer had not contacted me I might have left Trish with only two stories so it is good that he has. It is good to have a site mascot as it were as well. The logo is good for people to identify with but with a well drawn Trish too I think that is pretty cool. Was thinking of have a family of self sufficients what about self sufficient Rich and tich?

Mate,

The new look Trish is great (not that there were problems with the original  ) and will be a credit to the site.

I did like skinny trish, she was rather endearing, but I also like the new one, and she does go with the design theme.

Congrats, wombat, you've turned barbara.

Well done nev the first ever one to turn to barbara  Now will have to think of how many more posts until you cahnge sex again  Perhaps 200 posts to be John Seymore. Do you think that would be tastless considering he is not long died or do you think it would be seen as the honour i intend it to be?

Never thought I would be contemplating the political correctness of turning from barbara good to John Seymore 8)

G'Day Mate,

I don't see it as tasteless, rather a tribute to the great man himself. I certainly would consider it an honor to have his avatar against my name.

Look at me, had a shock to the system too, though at least I've always worn trousers.

Wow talk about a contrast - Spencer Hill's Trish looks great. I thought the old one was a bit of an embarrassment, I didn't like it from the start and asked Andy to take it off but now I quite like the idea of having a cartoon, especially one so professionally done.
