 Did anyone see any thing about the new Tata car, about 1200 quid, and it looks quite cool really. :cooldude:

They were talking about it on Radio4 this morning. They described it as more like an 'auto-rickshaw' It is being marketed in India to the people who drive Mopeds, etc around - the ones that you see loaded with a family of four with their dog, chickens and suitcases.

I can't see the car being available here for a while, but if they developed a neat hybrid version for the western market, I'd imagine it would do well.

If it's as light as a rickshaw, I can't see it taking off here in Scotland.
Or rather - it would take off, literally, in the first bit of wind!

thats a good point, i suppose you could put a couple of blocks in each corner, i always liked those ones they have in india, i believe with a vespa (scooter engine) but they wouldnt be much good up here either, with the wind and the hills.

When it's really windy up here and I absolutely HAVE to go out in my little Nissan Micra, I weigh it down with a few bags of feed... Amazing what an extra 100kg in the boot do to the stability of the car.

my heart goes out to you like a poor lepar with your skinned knuckles and grubby finger nails. you can get counciling and therapy but it is seldom a complete cure. a bit like malaria it will recur in later life as a fellow sufferer i know what you are going through

Quentin Wilson gave it a good write up, he reckons it could be the biggest ever selling car in the world.
