Gardening again at last!

Post: # 6987Post Magpie »

Yay! We have finally moved to a house where I can have a garden, We have spent the weekend organising our huge pile of weeds into a compost heap, deciding where to put the vegie garden, wishing for more space for chooks...

Hopefully next weekend I will be able to put my leggy spuds in, I have all sorts and colours, so I don't want to lose any!

I must say I feel so much healthier, physically and mentally, for having been gardening again, I missed it so much! :flower:

Yup, I find gardening to be great 'therapy'. When I was in temporary rented last summer I took to weeding the weedy courtyard. Sad but I needed something to do!

Nev, where are you - what's/where is OS?

Now why won't it let me edit the last message? I was going to add that that is one hell of big place... So we still wouldn't know where he is! :?

Ooooh he could be near you! Or me! He did mention going away for a month didn't he? Ah, the penny has dropped - he mentioned going to the UK a while back and getting together with Andy.

Nev, put us out of our misery!

Sorry Guys!

I will be in Belgium over Christmas (most of December) and spend 3 days in London in early January (arrive 3rd and fly out 6th). With a bit of luck some of us may get together while I am there!

So I can't get stuck into my garden now, it will all die in the heat and dry while I am away!

That's a real shame - the not being able to grow veg I mean, not the trip abroad. Could have grown a few radishes though I guess!

Belguim - hmmm interesting. Generally thought of by most Europeans to be the most boring country in Europe. I don't think that's fair although I really don't know it. We've driven through it several times when we lived in Holland and we visited Bruges for a couple of days, which was a truly lovely place.

And eat the moules frites! That's mussels and french fries/hot chips/ whatever you call them, Nev! But they eat their chips with mayonnaise not ketchup!

Thanks M3!

My son-in-law is Beligian so we will be getting shown around by locals. he has the chips with mayonnaise here but I'm not use if it is the same

Funny, Andy said the same thing about Belgium as you, anyway we will be in the south, close to holland.

Umm. Holland to north, France to south, Luxembourg and Germany to east.

You'll only be about 6 or 7 hours away from me Nev! That's not far by Aussie standards!
