Quite a lot in Crawley, but apparently at home in Tunbridge Wells it's not too bad. It was like night time when I got to work.

and if anyone remembers the floods that hit the south a few years ago - (they showed the same excellent shot several times of an inflatable boat whizzing round by the traffic lights, where the water was lapping near the top of the poles) - shows how prepared we're going to be for climate chaos - this is Uckfield today! http://www.sussexexpress.co.uk/news?articleid=3048062

it definitely included several hippos! - from the Sussex Express -
"NEARLY two inches of rain fell on Uckfield in little over an hour.
The storm caused the town centre to flood to a depth of about eight inches.
Police have confirmed the River Uck did not cause this morning's flooding.
A statement from Sussex Police said the town centre suffered 'localised flooding' caused by heavy rain.
'48mm (almost two inches) of rain fell in the period between 9.30am and 10.45am causing flash flooding of approximately eight inches in depth in the area of the lower traffic lights in the High Street."

Not too bad up north (yet), but my poor boyfriend's moving all our stuff into the house today. Poor chap'll be drenched by the looks of things.
Glad I'm out of it. *slaps wrist*

They're not weeds - that's a habitat for wildlife, don't you know?
