Hello from Gloucester
Hello from Gloucester
Hi,
I'm Sue, we live in Gloucester. Dh is Steve, we have 3 children aged 14, 12 and 6 and 2 cats.
We grow our own veg on an allotment, we are vegetarian, into environmental issues, eating healthily, keeping fit, and dream of being self sufficient.
I recently packed in my PhD, and decided to spend my time being happy and stress free! I now work part time delivering organic veggie boxes, and my spare time is spent at the allotment or having fun as a family or both!!

Thanks for the welcome :)
I am having a good day, 2 beds that needed weeding at the allotment are done, a seed parcel arrived from allotments4all with lots of goodies. My parents gave me some garden tools that they no longer require, got home and I have 6 free climbers and 5 free lavenders that I ordered from Gardeners World Magazine :)
Now off to make bread and cook tea.
Oh, does anyone know where i can buy sacks of organic bread flour?

Hiya, Sue, and welcome! Very good decision to pack in your PhD. I had intended to go for one a few years back - but the more I saw of the "publish or perish" culture, the more I came to rethink my intentions! Unfortunately I still have to work for a living, but at least I'm now doing something more physical, with lots of fresh air, and less stress.SueSteve wrote:Oh, does anyone know where i can buy sacks of organic bread flour?
Anyway: bread flour. If you were up here you could join our food co-op... But Gloucester is a bit far! We buy in bulk from SUMA; I'm sure there must be similar set-ups in your area. Maybe you could even ask the people at SUMA and other organic wholesalers?
