When I was a boy, Blue Peter was indispensable. Christopher Trace would show us how to make sledges and go-carts using real woodworking and metalworking skills, while Valerie Singleton would set to with the toilet roll tubes and sticky backed plastic to make other wonders.
For some reason, in my youth, The Persuaders was essential viewing (Tony Curtis and Roger Moore). Watching it more recently was extremely disappointing - only the John Barry theme tune merited the re-run.
Does anybody remember a Channel 4 sketch show called Absolutely? It started off on the radio as a show called Bodgers Banks and Sparks, but I'm certain no one here will remember that.
Ten years ago This Life was unmissable. They repeated it all recently, and it still made for good viewing, but the subsequent ten-years-on update was a big disappointment.
Was I the only person who watched Green Wing recently? Hilarious off the wall antics of socially incapable people in a hospital. Only two series, sadly, and the only thing on TV that I've ever been tempted to buy the DVD of (although no DVD player would make that a bit of a gamble).

1. Beverley Hills 90210 (I know its duff but Ive watched it hundreds of times now altho Ive still never gotten round to seeing the last few series)
2. Lost
3. ER (never missed an episode)
4. Prison Break (altho this should have finished several episodes ago and theyre def now dragging it out oo much)
5. Vicar of Dibley (first series)
I loved others as a kid - The flumps, Pipkins and Grange hill for years (good ole Tucker Jenkins!)
I love grand designs but hate the way the bloke makes it into something really tense and belittles the people. Just get on and report at it!

I liked green wing too Stew, having worked in the hospital environment some things (like the annoying Orthopod) seemed like places I had worked!
CSI, the original one rather than Miami or NY
Mock the week
And a comedy with Marcus Brigstock called 'The savages' which was only on for a single series I think a while back
kind thoughts

Never Mind The Full Stops!!! That was it - thank you Andy!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

1 The Good Life
2 Rising Damp
3 The entire Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin series
4 Frasier
5 Midsomer Murders (I know it's rubbish, but it's a nice escapist couple of hours, where I chortle at the similarities between Midsomer and the local surrounding villages and their inhabitants)
(shame there wasn't room for "Minder")
