First snow of the year

Post: # 48206Post Andy Hamilton »

First snow in the South west of England fell last night, looks beautiful. How is the rest of the country, seems that most have had some already.

And yes Australians, we know it is probally 50c over there and snow is a distant memory.

well, it's snowed here, but no big deal - about an inch of it - apparently there isn't any down on the coast 12 miles away! :cooldude:

We've got snow here and the schools are closed again... but it doesn't make the news because people expect it to snow in scotland  - although it doesn't snow anything like as much as it used to do.

It makes everything look beautiful doesn't it!

I was gutted to wake up this morning, throw open the curtains and discover frost, just frost. But hurray it's started snowing for the last couple of hours, all very beautifal and exciting. I'm sure it won't be so beautifal and exciting when I have to drive in it later.

This is just weird!

I mean, winter weather in the winter.

Surely this must be more evidence of global warming.

We have snow here in Swindon!

Enough to call snow as well - four or five inches. Several schools shut and many roads impassable.

The garden looks fab. It's the only time of the year that it looks tidy!

Cats aren't impressed though.
