You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Yeah, It's good stuff Stew, but I can't brew it like Bundaberg can, well not up to now anyway - maybe I should try fresh not dried ginger?

I used to make it using a yeast culture. I guess it must be 25 years ago now, and I can't remember what ingredients I used.

Trouble was, I couldn't drink the stuff fast enough - I found I was making more and more as the culture kept doubling in size. It seemed a shame to throw some of it away.

It puzzles me how a fermented drink, using yeast and sugar, can be non-alcoholic.

I really want a go at making some ginger beer can anyone tell me exactly what you have to do from scratch?

Burgers

Post: # 2914Post FluffyMuppet »

Hi Shiney,

We tried out your homemade burger recipe last night and they were great! We forgot to add in the breadcrumbs, so they were a little fragile, but they were yummy. We had a couple spare which we have frozen, but we'll definitely be making those again!

Thanks so much for posting the recipe.

Hi FM,

Good to know the burgers went down well. I bought some organic pork mince to try out tonight, but I reckon any mince will do to be honest.

We are having potato wedges as well, so burger and chips night. But...we have cabbage and carrots as well, so they'll all be getting their greens!

I am a stickler for having something green on the dinner plate each day.
If in doubt ~ use a hammer!
