Hi All, It's nice to find a forum where I can share ideas and chat to others with out being classed as a bit odd or eccentric.

My name is Steve and i live in Wiltshire, we have a big ish garden, enough space for 5 chickens, 2 ducks, a polytunnel, greenhouse, 2 sheds, I try to grow as much of our own stuff as possible, self sufficient in Toms, lettuce and carrots at the mo. We have a solar thermal panel for hot water and a 2.75 KW photo voltaic solar array for electric (which has surpassed all my expectations, can't recommend it enough), we have a small log burner which provides heat and hot water in winter, I get the wood for free (basically I'll do anything for wood). I collect apples annually and make my own cider, and preserve anything else i can. I like to make things for the allotment from pallets, ie shed, raised planter, raised beds, benches etc. I also tinker and try to invent energy saving devices so classed as a bit mad. So am I in the right place as selfsufficient 'ish'.
Steve.

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.
