I always take my knitting/crochet/spinning out with me. I was a bit self-conscious at first and got a bit annoyed with the snide remarks some people would make but now I'm happy to do it wherever I am. My yarn friends and I love a bit of extreme knitting, so we're often found in silly places with our hooks and needles out. My favourite is crocheting up a tree, it's a lovely feeling to be perched on a branch, doing something constructive and watching the world go by. It's amazing how many people don't look up and don't even realise I'm there :)

I have to admit that it's very rare that I think to myself "now look up into the trees in case there's a woman crocheting up there".

Now that I know better, I'm going to have a serious word with myself.

In the meantime, it's back in the fridge for me - I have a pencil to sharpen.

If I was rambling back from Quinn's Bar and happened to look up up and see there a pixie up a tree crocheting, why I would never again a drop take. And that's a fact :drunken:
Just because you see two eyes shining in the jungle at night, do not think that the worse thing that could happen is that you are about to be attacked by a tiger. It could be two one-eyed tigers.

I'll let you know when I'm selling and I'd be happy to make a hook from a particular stick. The lathe should be back up and running in a couple of weeks, now the weather is picking up.

Exquisite crochet hooks. As a keen crocheter I am lusting after them! You have also got me searching the internet as I have never heard of a micro-lathe.
