sorry I have edited the post . Some of my typing was in with the link. It is about horses and trying to improve their standard of care, i.e understanding the horses needs, not keeping them shut in "cages".

There are quite a number of articles, Mmm. Scroogle "hong kong cage people", for instance.

I'm no great enthusiast for the state, but if the extended family is going to disappear then there has to be some kind of safety net,I'm not exactly looking forward to (even) older age,but who would bother taking another breath if these conditions are all there is to look forward to in retirement.
There has to be more to this than the headlines. 1 because it's in the mail and 2 people cannot be so self denegrating to livelike that. If they are then it serves themselves right.I don't care if they can't read and write, have health problems or anything else. If you are faced with this sort of living then you either accept it or get off your arse and make a better life for yourself.

I get where you're coming from Al,but remember this is Hong Kong not Hartlepool. It's not possible to exaggerate the debilitating effects(both physical and psychological )of grinding poverty. This has got to be exacerbated by displays of great wealth.
Being brought up and conditioned in the comfy West my inclinations would definitely go along the lines of 'sod this' before doing a bank, but these people look like they've lost it.(plus of course the Chinese state routinely executes you for stuff you'd get a police caution for in downtown Kidderminster).

On the other hand,I too am curious as to The Mail carrying the story, and especially the gratuitous mentioning of Louis Vuitton at the beginning...........methinks perhaps someone only got second row seats at a certain London fashion show.....

We live in an old cottage and get the odd mould spot in various places,we have a dehumidifier.although bleach will clear stains it has a water content which mould feeds on so I clean with white vinegars ,the smell evaporates and it is a sage green mould killer,if you have asthma its better than using chemicals.
Grow it,make it ,eat it, drink it and sleep well!

You see.
my "cages " reference was not so far off topic. It's all about Bathrooms or cages- you choose. xx
