Well Done

Post: # 235146Post PlainQB »

I would like to publicly say well done to my Mum and step dad. My Mum has serious mobility problems and my step dad is hugely busy working, neither of them are particularlly vegtable gardening or ish minded.

However this year they have cleaned out the greenhouse previously used for storage and planted loads of tomatos, basil and chilies. They've dug up some of their lawn and planted more tomoatos, potatoes, beans and onions. All their crops are doing very well indeed. They've also started composting. So well done for:

- Giving it a go, we should be proud and encouraging towards all newbies.
- Overcoming difficulties and doing it anyway.
- For having the will power to not just moan but to actually make changes and sustain those changes.
- For growing some lovely basil that I could pinch.

WELL DONE, I AM PROUD.

QB

That's great. Well done to Mum and Dad QB. I hope it inspires them to keep going and that they find it therapeutic.

Yes, well done them! The rest of the lawn is doomed so make the most of it this summer

I keep saying to Mum she should dig up the rest of the lawn but I think there will be veg plot creep rather then removing the lawn in one fell swoop.

It does make me wonder, how many other newbies are out there, is this a growing trend?
