Hi from suburban London
Hi from suburban London
Hi
I'm lilyfae, a teacher from the suburbs of West London just getting over the shock of moving into my own home-( 18 months ago boy was there work to be done) with hubby and Blake the greyhound
As a pagan I've been interested in nature & trying to be Eco-friendly from a young age ( parents gardened organically etc) but after that inevitable gap of late-teens/studenty years of excess and consumerism I'm keen to get back to my roots- mostly in a heavy clay 125 foot garden infested with brambles, dock, bindweed and horsetail!!! But the worst thing in the garden is evil 10 year old weed suppressant membrane that is EVERYWHERE!
I bought the book awhile ago and only just found the forums recently but thought I would come out of lurking to say hello.

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Welcome to ISH
Once you've managed to clear the weeds & membrane, good old London clay is a great base for growing loads of things. Good Luck

Hello and welcome. This a great site and I'm sure you will find it a great help.
Good luck with the garden. Mine is 100 feet long and was in a terrible condition, but not now!
