The Golden years have come at Last
I can't See
I can't Pee
I can't Chew
I can't Screw
My Memory shrinks
My hearing stinks
No sense of smell
I look like hell
My bodies drooping
I have trouble pooping
The Golden years Have come at last;
The golden years can kiss my §§§§§§§
Have a happy birfday young Mike

Just caught up on this on - Happy Birthday Mike- hope your Mama brought you a big cake and a bottle of something lovely and fizzy!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Re: Finally ...
Happy Birthday, you old git!
Cor, I hope my cucumbers are long this year - they are gonna be the only things that are <sigh>......
Anyway, hope Mummy's visit went ok for you & you managed to blow ALL those candles out (blimey it must have been hot!)
Now... remember to do your Well Man checklist & get to the relevant medical centres.... eye check, hearing check, teeth check, & prostrate check.... have fun!!

The more people I meet, the more I like my garden

Re: Finally ...
you've surpassed,Hendrix,Joplin,JFK,Jim Morrisson,Karen Carpenter and Hitler and Bin Laden,so many,many, congratulations. OJ.
Re: Finally ...
Awwww - thank you, all ... That's hard to say when one is truly pissed .. sorry ... p***ed. The grand dame came and went (came late, left late ... such is the way of mothers). OH bought a rather large bottle of rum and an equally large bottle of Coke. She is now in bed and I am left, resisting temptation successfully (ho, ho, ho). I have, though, sampled that freezer-bottom wine, which turns out to be surprisingly good. Only a single glass, obviously.
Thanks for the advice, Julie. Even in my state, the idea of a prostrate examination has cheered me up no end
Anyway, when it was getting dark, I strolled (rolled) up the garden path. The rooks were just finishing their playtime (I live next to a very large rookery - raucous, but rather beautiful). They did their statutory fly-past and, just as I was about to turn round and return to the booze-sodden human habitat, a bat flew straight over my head. There couldn't possibly have been a better gesture by the Red Arrows. Brought a tear to my eye (you know - the one I have left).
Despite all these attempts to get me into a delirious state, I am going to repeat my earlier message - but I obviously have to change it because various people seem to think that turning my sentiments into Victorian Music-Hall jokes is a hoot (how could they????).
So - to all and sundry, wherever you may be ... if you're Ishish, may your attempts at germination be fruitful. To MMM - you've been on here more than me since you gave up being a mod
. To GA - I didn't mean it, really (well - maybe not). To Andy - when I said media tart, what I meant was ... oh, never mind. To all the old blokes on here - I'm right with you, brothers!!!! To all the delicious ladies on here, I ... no, I'd better not go there. To Giz ... keep your heart where it is, girl. To Ina, who seems to have disappeared once more ... do come back, because you're missed.
And to (.........) please fill in the dots, I am so pleased to have met you, if only in a forum. People like you have given me hope for the world.
Finally, a bit of advice. Never attempt a post of this length when you're away with the fairies. I have had to edit this so many times ...

Re: Finally ...
Hope the hangover's only slightly crippling, Mike!
Sounds like you had a good day (Mothers notwithstanding) - I'll tell you how mine goes - in another five years
- and I do get a bus pass then, assuming they still exist (and we get a bus service
).
