I have jam-jars delivered on wooden pallets regularly

after unloading one time, we stood the pallet up against the wall round the side of the house
a week or so later, we realised it had disappeared
same thing happened with the next 2 or 3 pallets

we had some more pallets round back of house (so not visible from road) and if only they had knocked on the door to ask - they could have had those too!

At least you know how to get rid of them now. Just put them round the side of the house, one by one.

:thumbright: Now stick around! Sorry it is a bit of an inconvenience but we have taken this spam busting measure (no signature or weblinks allowed until 25 posts, unfortunately that also affects the PM function which we can't change) because we've had too many people who just join up with the sole intention of advertising (and that's not just the spambots). Anyway you can have a signature now if you have a blog or something you would like to link to. :flower:

Thanks to the lovely Baldybloke, I now have a nice new door. Safely tucked in the garage until it can be fitted.

Paul, as MMM says, please do stick around, you've got so much knowledge to share with us all. Just beware, this selfsufficiency lark is very contagious. That lovely tidy garden will soon be overflowing with crops, there'll be lettuces growing on the shed roof and chickens living on top of the garage.

Thanks
Zoe

It's also nice to know the door has gone to a good home. It is very liberating to get rid of stuff, I need to make more of a habit of it.
I have no fear of this self sufficiency lark being contagious, the amount of available time is my constant antidote. Not sure about getting chickens however, possibly a beehive sometime in the future perhaps, who knows.
I managed to get a bit more done outside this morning before the rain started, still lots to do before my vision is realised though. I will be posting my progress, asking advice and sharing hints and tips as and when.
It was nice to meet my first isher and hopefully I will meet more of you as time goes by. There seems to be a fairly active bunch here in Wiltshire. The kettle is never far from boiling if you are passing through Zoe.
Has anyone seen the plot, I seem to have lost mine?
