What are we all having for dinner?

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

I got a tub of something out of the freezer last night. It could be mince or possibly curry. I love surprises!!

Oh dear, you can tell it is the day before payday.

Truely scraping the barrel, we are having a 'meatloaf' (which is actually pork mince chestnut and apricot stuffing leftover from Christmas) with roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots and some leftover frozen runner beans from last year that need eating up. And maybe gravy.

Not much in cupboards today, so a very basic and cheap dinner.

Layer slices of potato and onion in a casserole dish.
Cover with skimmed milk and some grated cheese.
Bake for one hour in a moderate oven.
Yummy veggy dinner. :blob:

Yes, Thursday tends to be 'clear out' day for us - but it sometimes turns out, ermm, interesting.

A thick seaweed gravy, with onions, garden peas and paprika, poured over steamed new potatoes, steamed cauli, steamed carrots with a side of wilted spinach and nutmeg. All organic - though the seaweed ain't certified so.
There is no question. Cap and Share or TEQs is the answer. Even Cap and Dividend!

Venison casserole tonight. Just popped it in the slow cooker with the beef stock I had simmered overnight. We are going to be outside a lot today so a hearty (and no fuss) meal for when we are shattered!

We have just polished off a "store-cupboard meal" of rice, pasta sauce, onion, peas, chopped pork and herbs all cooked together then tipped into an oven dish, topped with cheese and stuck in the oven for half an hour!
