a miracle has happened!

Post: # 227523Post yvette »

At least it feels like a miracle - in the midst of this difficult economic climate, my OH has only gone and got himself a job
Thank you all for all your support and for sharing your experience and wisdom with me :hugish: . We won't be rich - but we have learned a lot about living on less, and want to carry on being frugal so that we can start to overpay a little on the mortgage when we can.

Well done - now just keep your mind open and you might be surprised what other miracles can pop into your lives. Well done once again

Congrats!!

Maintaining a continued frugal existence might prove harder than it seems. However, I wish you both the very best in this effort. Paying extra on a mortgage is always nice when it can be done.

Regards,
Chuck

Oh that's wonderful news Yvette - very happy for you all.

You may not be quite so frugal (you deserve a few treats after all!) but it certainly makes you more aware about spending and managing your money when you have been through a period like that.

 Yay! Congratulations. Do continue with the frugality - it helps you to apreciate what you have much more than dispoasble life style - and you get to pay the mortgage quicker!

Congrats to you both. On his first pay cheque take out the amount he would have as dole money and treat yourselves with half of the remainding money. That way you feel as if you are able to get something for his labours but not going overboard.

Excellent news  . Hope life gets better and better and you can be thrifty because you want to and not because you have to.

That's brilliant news. Congratulations to him. If you can manage to overpay your mortgage even a little bit, it's amazing how much you can save in the long run.
