I had a visit from our neighbours daughter and her boyfriend today asking if I would be a witness to their signatures in connection with their mortgage. They are both 24 years of age and moved into rented accommodation together nearly two years ago thinking they would never be able to afford a place of their own.

They have both scrimped and saved and through sheer hard work are now in the process of buying their own home. Considering jobs are few and far between here in Lincolnshire they both managed to find two jobs each, with Victoria working an 80 hour week and her boyfriend a few hours less. Throughout the past year Victoria has not been in the best of health so I think it is amazing that they have managed to save over £25,000 in such a short time.

They have done so well and are naturally very excited. I just wanted to share their news and it shows that sometimes against all the odds dreams do come true.

Good for them. I remember those days of having to scrimp and save for our first deposit. It seemed like such hardship at the time but now I look back and realise how much it was worth it.

Good for them...despite what you hear from the media, many people still work very hard and deserve some credit for this! Hope they find a lovely place, dreams do come true its just that we usually have to have some input! You must be really proud of them both.
