Another call for help

Post: # 226095Post Annpan »

We have some serious earth moving to do this weekend (19th - 20th) If anyone is free and able to help out give me a shout.

We also have an old stone wall to take down.

Also if anyone has any specific skill that they can use in our general direction it would be muchness appreciated.

Our home is not habitable at the moment, we have cold running water and a compost loo at the top of the garden... it is not suitable for kids under 10.

I know it is a big ask but many hands make light work .

susiwa has kindly offered her services once more... I'm hoping she is as handy with a spade as she was with a hammer

We are just off the M74 J9. Can probably pick people up from Larkhall train station.

We did loads at the weekend.... I'm still a little sore

We're at it again this weekend.... we have a floor to sand and varnish and still some more out door stuff if the weather is nice. A bit of plastering, a bit of painting.

I'll need to post up before and after pics of the big muddy hole (which is a damn sight less big and muddy now)

Big :hugish: to you and yours Annpan. It's important to keep in the fore front of your mind that all the hard work and sacrifices will be worth it when all the work is done. Time is the real friend here so don't thrash around like a whirling dirvish knacking yourself up when taking your time will obviously take longer but you will be able to enjoy the fruits of your labour soon.

Thanks Big Al

Because we are not able to live at the house just now, weekend work is all we can manage.... during the week we sit about on our fat arses in a city flat surfing the internet and planning.

So at the weekend we can push ourselves a little harder, because we know we have the time to recover from it. We're not going mental or anything.... but it is like a super workout at the gym.

Having been out of our house for 5 months now..... we are pretty desperate to get it in a decent condition to move back home ASAP.
