Woo! that is so impressive and professional-looking, I like it very much. Maybe we should begin a '101 things to make with a pallet' thread...?

Re: Pallet to DVD shelf
Thats a good idea, actually I saw a magazine artist once about things to make from a pallet. (This was our own idea though!)
Oh, I also used some of the bits we had left to do some paintings on instead of canvas.

That's great helsbells!
Squirrel45 made some fab stuff from pallets too.

I've managed one raised bed thus far, but it's pretty cool - I made it myself with OH taking my usual role of holding bits together while I screwed them
The biggest problem we had was getting the pallets apart in the first place - some of them are extremely well made!

Bespoke furniture. Whoop! Pallets are great, but surprisingly hard to come by round here

Nice work. Was it good quality wood or did you have to smooth it down? Most of the pallets I've picked up are fine for outside but a bit rough and splintery for indoor use.

Blimey, that is really really good! You would think it was shop bought to look at it.
My project for the weekend is to make a coldframe out of pallets - I already have a nice glazed door frame for the top and a couple of pallets to take apart for the sides.

Re: Pallet to DVD shelf
The wood was really smooth because it was MDF. Not a fan of the stuff really but I put a load of paint on it so I am hoping that will keep in the nastiness?!

Hooray for pallets! we build planters out of them all the time - also built our potting bench from them!
