Tea Towels

Post: # 214145Post Thomzo »

My first 'proper' product. I designed this tea towel which came back from the printer today. Just a few tweaks, then a range of colours, then it can go on sale

Great design. It would make a great fabric design too, for curtains or for upholstery fabric. Well done Zoe

Thanks everyone, I am sneakily rather proud of them. I did originally design it as fabric for a boy's bedroom. Getting them printed as tea towels was the cheapest way of getting the fabric printed without committing to several metres of the stuff. The same printer will do fabric as well as bags and other things so I will have to speak to them about making other products.

Beautiful! Adding to the calls for fabric  . I think there's somewhere online you can get small quantities printed, I can't remember what it's called though :( .

That's great  I could make a 'nursery bag' or cushion for my vehicle-mad great nephew out of one - he'd love it :santa:

Thanks for that link. Shame they're in the US but they do ship to the UK and the cost is a lot cheaper than my current printer (but then you have to add the shipping cost).

I used thefabricpress.co.uk for my tea towels. The big advantage is that they are based in Cheltenham and I can pick up my order from their shop. But printing small quantities is always expensive.

Nikki/Snapdragon, if you are interested, let me know how much fabric you're looking for. At the moment you can have blue, like my avatar, or green like the tea towel. Although I can easily do other colours if you particularly wanted it. If I put enough orders together we might get a discount. I can get a sample done so that you can see it before you commit to anything.

Cheers
Zoe

That would be a great idea!! I would love it in the blue or green or have you thought about red?? I thought it would make nice shorts for Teme, but I have never made anything like that before so could be interesting lol. I guess a metre would be fine for me please, let me know a price.
