Heavy Frost

Do you know about an event that you want to talk about? Is there a campaign you have started, are involved in or want to start? Inspired by Marvin Gaye this is your place to tell the world what's going on.

Heavy Frost

Post: # 211650Post Durgan »

The first killing frost of the Fall season hit last night. Now the deep freeze begins and lasts until about 15 of April. My area will not be completely free of Frost until the end of May.

The only produce left in the garden is two large Brussels sprout plants and some leeks. All the green tomatoes were picked yesterday about half a bushel. 2010 was as fine gardening year. Probably the best encountered in my gardening experience.

Here are pictures of the first Fall frost. The garden is essentially finished until next Spring. My area will be in hibernation until about the 15 of April 2011, and will not be completely free of periodic Frosts until the end of May.
