River Cottage - Hemp

Do you think The Good Life could be remade, with me or Dave playing Tom Good (maybe not!)? If you have seen something on TV or heard something on the radio recently that you want to talk about, tell us here.

(It's a government run site) - It offers guidance and how you apply to get a license. (UK)
I was interested in growing hemp on a small scale as a project, to see whether it would be a useful plant for adventurous kitchen gardeners, and so I wrote to the Home Office to ask whether it would be possible to get a license for small-scale, non-commercial hemp cultivation.

The answer was a resounding 'no' :(

British telly can't be viewed outside the UK on those official catch up sites  ; you can watch it with a satellite dish of course and a digi box as it's there to view via Free to Air, although technically it is illegal to receive it! I can't help it if it appears on my digibox and my old Sky box!!!

well the site is totally broken at the mo, but from what I remember between some adverts at the bottom there was a place to put the URL of the site you wanted to visit.

I have looked for the river cottage hemp episode but cant find it, if someone posts the direct link here I will see if I can get a proxy to work

Definitely a non-technie!

John - see what you mean abut the site being down! The only thing that could be physically done on that site (other than read the blurb on the page and click on the disclaimer thing) was something about linking that site to your own site. Didn't see anything about entering a URL of any site that you wanted to watch. :? But then I can't check right now!

You can now get hemp milk... great huh, full of Omega 3. Anyone tried it?

I'm buying their oil from the supermarket tomorrow as is supposed to be rich in Omega 3, 6, and 9 i think... rather like flax/linseed oil so i will take it as a nutritional supplement.

For anyone interested please check the Good Oil company out here...

I have, they were handing out free samples in Waitrose a couple of weeks ago. I personally didn't like it, but it's a bit like soy milk with the addition of the 'green' flavour of hemp oil, so if you like that flavour then you might like the hemp milk too :)

I can't imagine the milk tastes that great. I got some of the oil, sure it has that flavour but i just have a spoonful... it's wonderful stuff. I think my body needs more Omega 3, 6, and 9 as when i take it it always agrees with me.
