Hi from another scottish person!

Post: # 200888Post fifi folle »

Hello all, been lurking for a while but finally decided I should sign up and start posting. I've been gardening since I was little and have had my own garden since I was 17. Tend to grow the basics like tomatoes, courgettes, salad etc but moving house in a few weeks time to a place with a bigger garden and planning our own little forest garden in the front garden. Also hoping to get some chickens next year once we've got to know the neighbours a bit so they don't think we're totally insane!!! (Moving to a nice, quiet, suburban street)
Look forward to chatting with you all and getting your advice on stuff!
Fiona

Welcome!
Keep us informed about your move. I also live in a quiet suburban street but have chickens in the back garden and veg in the front.
Nobody seems to mind.
We are stardust, we are golden, and we`ve got to get ourselves back to the garden.

Thanks for the welcome!
We're moving in 3 weeks from Edinburgh to Rosyth (I popped Fife in as my location to save changing it when we move!) I've had a flat in the centre of the city for 13 years, really lucky to have had a garden in town but it's just too small so off to suburbia we go!
Grew up in Tayside/Angus so used to berry growing and picking, certainly planning some rasps and strawbs in the new garden. We've been instructed not to "wreck" the garden by my Father in Law and Brother in Law (13yr old) until they've seen it, it's a "low maintenance" garden with decking and a water feature, YUCK!!!!

Welcome to ISH :flower:

Sounds like the garden is wrecked & you'll be restoring it!

Good Luck,
