Hi I am a new member saying hi from Slovenia a small democratic nation state former member of Yugoslavia. I am a teacher from the UK working in an international school in the capital but really came here because my partner and I bought a house with something we could not affford in the UK- LAND!
At the moment I am working 2 veg plots and bartering and recieving lots of locally grown produce. They are very much into eating what is in season here, at the moment that is cherries and apricots.
Stumbled on the site looking for a genuine recipe for a ginger beer plant. So thanks for that thread! The site looks great hope I can contribute along the way

Lucky you. I did a charity walk in Slovenia a few years ago. It's a beautiful country. I will never forget just being able to fill up our water bottles at any nearby river - fantastically clear, clean water.
