Biowash balls

Hi everyone

I had a customer buy one of these from my website, but he wasn`t very happy with the results, especially for a white wash.

Has anyone had any experience with a biowashball and if so, have you any tips as to how to make them more effective?

Or is it that they are ok but not for really soiled clothes?

Surely it defeats the obJect if we have to use soap powder - even if its the eco friendly stuff- with them?

He did say that they made his clothes nice and soft without conditioner, but thats not the main reason for buying them.

I gave up on the wash balls I was using for white & for heavily soiled stuff too, because they just couldn't get stuff really clean in our HARD water area. I use simple washing soda for these loads. (I'm not sure who's make my balls are )

Maybe it depends on hardness/softness of your water? Just a thunk

So are you saying muddywitch that if you are in a hard water area it might be better to include washing soda to remove stubborn stains?

I`m in Lancashire and our water is lovely and soft, but the customer was from Bristol so not sure what the waters like down there.

The reason I`m concerned is that its the first negative feedback I have had for a product, and obviously want to avoid any more.

Not sure if this was your customer's problem, I just find my balls can't cope with the hard water here. I use the washing soda instead of the balls for whites & very soiled stuff (like my gardening jeans).

I remember, as a child, (you know, when dinosaurs walked the Earth ) my Aunt, who then lived in Yate, near Bristol, had soft water. Maybe you could ask your thoughtless customer what type of water they have?

I wouldn't worry too much about one customer who wasn't 100% delighted. It's a real shame s/he didn't contact you before leaving negative feedback though. S/he may have an other reason that the balls weren't quite right. S/he may have used them incorrectly, expected too much of them or just be an ignorant fool!

To be fair to this customer muddywitch, I did ask for feedback rather than him complaining to me.

I always ask if customers are pleased with both the products they buy and with delivery times etc.
