Hello from Cambridge

Post: # 167462Post Susie »

Hi everyone

I found this site a bit ago and I've been lurking, but I thought I'd join in and say hello - so hello! (loving the smilies)

I live in Cambridge with my partner, and I've been interested in becoming a bit more ish for a while. I've found myself "between jobs" recently so I thought I'd take the opportunity to have a go at doing a few more things. Mainly I'm going to try and grow things in our garden - if I can get it to produce anything other than ground elder and brambles I'll die of happiness! (We've got a lovely big apple tree, and this year when I would actually have time to make chutneys and things and make the most of the apples, it's only produced two. I feel it's laughing at me.)

I feel like you all might be a bit more advanced along the ish path than me, so I'm going to be watching and learning, and trying not to ask too many stupid questions! Everyone has to start somewhere, right?

Look forward to meeting you all!

:hello2: From Newmarket, completely understand what you mean about the time, last year I was on maternity leave and made loads of chutney etc, this year not had the time too, next year will be on mat leave again and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a better harvest!
