Hello, I’ve been pillaging the site for about a year and a half on and off, using it when ever I’m stuck doing something so thank you ALL for whatever bits and pieces of advice I’ve pinched.
I thought it was about time I registered properly so here I am!
I’m residing in Manchester, and have spent the last year and a half turning a small very shaded (massive tree) garden into a veg’ patch and planting up as many containers as possible with stuff.
As the tree surgeon is paying us a visit next week to remove a couple of branches (they’re being cut off as they’re brushing overhead wires) I should have a brighter garden next year so I’m currently planning for my first ‘proper’ organised year of planting (y’know rather than just chucking loads of things in the ground and hoping for the best!) I’m also busy perusing the skips of Manchester (again) collecting bits and pieces to make some cold frames up for next year to make the most of what sunshine we have!

Thanks for all the nice hellos people, Shirley if you're still down here I hope you're enjoying the apocalyptic weather this week... new waterproof trousers ebing bought this lunchtime after coming to terms with the fact that I'm too fat for last years
