OOOOOOOOO!! Ever so excited!

Post: # 165245Post Milims »

I'm making my first bidding on ebay. There's just over and hour to go and I'm in the lead and there have only been 2 bids made.
I'm bidding for a glass liquidiser for the 1960's Kenwood Chef that I won on freecycle a few months ago. So keep your fingers crossed for me - there are so many things that I can make with it - including butter!

good luck! my mum is getting a new full-on mixer next year (they're saving for it already; it's going to cost more than their car did!!!) so I have earmarked her 1960s Kenwood Chef!!! it's been around in my family forever. well, since 1967. been fixed three times in all that time.

they are wonderful machines.
oh how I love my tea, tea in the afternoon. I can't do without it, and I think I'll have another cup very

Sadly in the last few seconds there were 2 more bids higher than mine - it was literally so close to the end that I didn't even see that someone else had bit despite the fact that I was sitting watching! Ho hum guess I'll just have to try again!

Aw what a shame, hope you'll find another soon.

I ALWAYS get outbid on ebay!

I was keeping my fingers crossed for you, but this is what normally happens. There are several bits of software available specifically to raid ebay at the very last moment and chuck in a bid. No-one not using the software even sees it go in.

I always put in odd bids - like 82p, or 73p, just something that's not rounded to a 5 or 0 on the p bit. Sometimes, you can win an auction by a penny that way...
