i have just sliced up a norwegian jiffy bag to turn it inside out and re-use it, and it's filled with pulped paper instead of bubblewrap, which is how they manage to be totally recyclable lol!!

how do i have a norwegian jiffy bag? i have a norwegian pen pal. we swap sweets . she sends me chocolate, i send her contraband like skittles. theyre banned in norway because of the colourings used lol!!!

I'm sure jiffy bags in this country used to be filled with shredded newspaper long ago. I suspect they changed as bubble wrap is lighter. There's progress for you

I'm pretty sure that jiffy bags are made with 100% recycled paper.... I think the ones with bubble wrap in are another brand.... but I will double check... back in a mo...

It seems original jiffy bags are still stuffed with 100% recycled paper pulp filling, but they do make a few other types of jiffy which have bubble wrap.

So they are still available here.
