Mystery photo on phone

Post: # 161889Post Rosendula »

I was taking photos with my phone of LO being, well, young, as you do. Of course, being 3 years old, she loves looking at the photos I have just taken, so I went to my camera album. After going through all the ones I had taken that day, at the end I found this....

Image

I didn't recognize the place, the skittles,or the clothes the mystery person was wearing. Due to the bright light in the middle, it made it difficult to see who he even was. No-one had taken my phone anywhere without me, and I knew I hadn't taken this picture.
Where on earth had it come from?
Who is it?
Where is it?
And how did it get on my phone?
At this point I was getting rather freaked out.

OH came home. He didn't know anything about it. DD1 came home, she didn't know anything about it, but she got it up on the computer and enlarged it for a better look. In so doing, we were able to see enough to say the person has dark skin and that cute, funky, bobbly hair that I don't know what to call. But that's all - we could see any more. Hmmm... if only it didn't have that crazy light in the middle. What was that? Did he have a mirror on his shoulder? That would be silly.

Then suddenly it dawned on me  The light in the picture is the result of the camera flash reflecting off something - the TV screen. And the person in the picture is Sid from CBeebies.

It turns out the picture was taken by my little girl who loves taking photos of things she likes on the TV, the computer or anywhere else. Usually we know straight away what it is because we can see the TV or the programme's logo in the picture, but on this occasion she'd got up close and cut all of that out.

 I have to admit, I was quite freaked out by all of this.

Took me a minute but I recognised him too...

I think I would have been freaked out too but I have an old skool phone that doesn't take photos, so that would have been even more weird.

Well that pic must have given you a fright! I was thinking someone had sent it to you!

Ha ha. At least you solved the mystery. My phone is always taking photos of the inside of my handbag, all by itself  I wouldn't mind, after all, it's not doing anyone any harm, but it does rather fill up the sim card to have 30 photos of blackness on there.

Cheers
Zoe

Dear Rosendula,

For a little while there it looked like a Terminator materializing from the future...... unless, of course, Skynet has infiltrated Terminators into presenting childrens' programmes?

Thomzo, mine does the same!

Its gone from calling random people in my address book to taking random pictures - usually of the inside of my pockets...
