Will you read my story?
I am currently doing an OU course in literature. My final assignment is to write a 1,500 word story. I've done the first draft but I would like someone to read it through and give me their comments, in case it's rubbish. I know there are several members here that read a lot so you must know a good story from a bad one.
If you would like to have a read and give me your comments, I would be really grateful. PM me and I'll e-mail it to you.
Just a word of warning, it is quite 'dark' and deals with some difficult emotions (or at least that's what I've tried to do) so please don't read it if you are feeling a bit down.
Thanks guys
Zoe

Re: Will you read my story?
I'd love to read it!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Re: Will you read my story?
Good luck Zoe, I won't offer to read it as I don't read 'proper' books (as I was once told just because I haven't read Dostoevsky
) and I've already told everyone that I hate Shakespeare and think it's a load of old codswallop. Any serial killers in your story?

I'll read anything with a cover, or without!
hell, I read menu's to keep myself amused.
And since my collection of trashy Wilbur Smith has run out, and I'm keeping the book on Simon de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre (my fav philosphers) till my bike trip, I'm in!

As I ping from tree to tree I wonder... why do I seem to have transformed into a pinging tree-dwelling thing?

Re: Will you read my story?
Well, the story has now been submitted, fingers crossed I'll get a reasonable mark.
Thank you to everyone who read the story and gave me your comments. I have tweaked it slightly following your suggestions and I feel it now flows much better.
Thank you, as well, to all the people who volunteered to read it but for various reasons, I didn't get to send it to.
Cheers
Zoe
