Any jazz soul prog psych type fans on here?

Really into my vinyl records - one thing i'd find it hard to do without i guess. I'm big into most music but i guess mainly 70s prog jazz soul psych type stuff. Any other fans on here?

Er no, but I was around in the 70s so how come I haven't got a clue what kind of music this is? Or is that because during the 70s I went through phases of loving David Essex, the Bay City Rollers and Punk, which were probably quite different.

Psychedelic soul? As in Sly & the Family Stone, Curtis Mayfield, Shuggie Otis, Earth Wind & Fire, Funkadelic, War, etc etc? I still have my vinyl collection of those and more.

As for prog jazz, somewhere I have the demo I did with the Forefront boys a few years back in London. The Other Half likes it, which means either she's flattering me (very unlikely), she's being kind (equally unlikely), or she has bad taste (most likely)!

Not really a mega fan, tho' i do have "Pictures At An Exhibition", by E.L.P. & some stuff by early Genesis...... does that count?
