Just to add to my rants - tried to phone them this morning to clarify the casual work thingy - of course, the ladies and gents don't start work before 9... I've already been working for 2 hours, writing an application.

Makes me feel really smug.

And it's not just for students - one of my nieces took a year out in her late 30s, kind of sabbatical, and went wwoofing in Ireland. I suppose you could do it even in your retirement!

Oooh nice place! Nik and i stayed in a place called Sparkford last year, and the bus we got took us through CrewKerne and it looked really pretty!

We loved Montacute though - it really is as cute as its name sounds.
