It's a Beautiful Day

Post: # 156757Post RobHed »

Just thought that I would post on here what a beautiful day it is this morning here in Bristol.......I was up at about 6 and it was so peaceful in the garden, with the smell of last night's rain. It is just the simple things that make you feel good to be alive.......any thoughts ?

And for the first time in ages it's not raining in the Dordogne either. Although, give it a few hours....

We've still got rain in Newmarket :( Yesterday afternoon I found George standing staring at his sandpit in the garden, he look really miserable so was hoping to get him out there today, but thats not going to happen, keeping our fingers crossed for a nice weekend.

the ever growing luvpie household currently contains, 4 boys, 4 chickens, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 4 fish, an empty tropical fish tank waiting new arrivals, now are we daft to look at our broody hen thinking, if we got some fertilised eggs........

After lots of days of having the weather forecasters tell us it's going to rain all day, we finally got a little bit last night  Everyone else in the country has been saying about all the rain they've been having, and I've been running about with watering cans. So frustrating.

Bright sunshine again earlier this morning, bit cloudy now. The forecast says rain this morning and sunny this afternoon. Obviously I can't trust that though, and I shall simply stand in the garden gazing at the sky for a while, no doubt proving beyond all doubt to my next-door-neighbour that I am, as she suspected, loopy.

I can agree that this is a beautiful thing to do and you should bear no shame ! It works for me too and is very pleasant antidote to all the rushing round I do too much of. Even a cloudy, rainy day can be beautiful if you are in the right mood !

Thanks, Becks :hugish:

Yes, the weekend certainly made up for it. On Sunday, we went cycling along an old disused railway line that has been converted into a cycle track called ' The Strawberry Line ' down in North Somerset and it was gorgeous. We met some friends there who then came back for a barbie, and over a bottle of wine put the world to rights. How was your weekend ?
