Goose and Gander

Post: # 154020Post oldfella »

We decided last Christmas that we would have a nice goose fro our Xmas lunch this year,so we bought two Geese and bought them home two weeks ago. Now I think we have a problem.
" Ahh look at them" the OH say's walking over to the chicken house with two downy little geese, Weep, Weep, Weeping, at her heels. As soon as we go down to the Veg patch they come running after us and sit on the path and watch us at work, untill we take a break and sit with a cup of tea when they lay at our feet and dose in the sun. Of course now they have NAMES nothing exotic you understand just Goosey and Gander, but as I say I think we have problem, cos how do you KILL and EAT one of the family. :(
I can't do great things, so I do little things with love.

Oldfella, could you buy your wife a new pet just before the deed is to be done to give her something else to be affectionate about. She'd still be sad, but with another animal to care for, it might keep her mind occupied. I've never had to do anything like that, so it's only an idea, not experience.

Well, in the case of geese, with a broom handle over their necks....
