A giggle at pink people.....

Post: # 151293Post JulieSherris »

Well, I've had a giggle this afternoon....

Leah's new thing is to phone me every day - she prefers if I don't answer... she likes to leave a message - which usually goes something like:
"Hello? Nanny? I need to talk to you, so phone me back right NOW! Love Leah (pause) Goodbye."

So... I phone back & sometimes she HAS something to say - other times she doesn't.

Today's News as explained by Leah:
She's been given a 'shaker box'. This is to put pennies in & get other folk to put pennies in too. When it's full, she'll take it back to school & give it to Father Joe - he'll send it to the 'poor people' in Africa - you know, the brown people.
Now, these poor people will get the money & spend it on seeds & grow some food. Then they will sell the food at market & use THAT money to open a shop. Then they will grow more food to sell in the shop & employ other poor people from the village.
In a few years every poor person will be rich - and guess what? They will all turn pink as well, because they won't be poor anymore!!

I've told Gail to talk to her & maybe have a word with the teacher - sounds like a few wires got crossed somewhere......

I thought I'd share - it certainly made my day!
The more people I meet, the more I like my garden

Ha, she's just 5 - and soaks information up like a little sponge.

And of course, if it's told to her at school then it HAS to be true - and we're non-catholic (well, non-anything, really!) in a catholic country - you can imagine, can't you?

I have a four year old, and for some reason nothing I say is true she only seems to believe what she is told at pre-school  .

Kids, got to love them
